This is the traditional portell you see in the dry-stone walls of Menorcan fincas: untreated olive-wood slats with visible grain, an arched profile and the classic Z-brace.
Every gate is handmade by a craftsman in his Menorca workshop. Nothing is mass-produced: each one is made to the exact size of your opening, between the posts or walls you already have.

An equestrian centre in Ibiza wanted a Menorcan gate without ever having seen one. The craftsman prepared every slat in his Menorca workshop; we shipped it disassembled and assembled it piece by piece on site. It gave the centre a much more rustic feel.
The opening already existed and the stone had to be respected to the millimetre. We took exact measurements and delivered the gate ready to fit between the two walls, without touching them.
The gate separates a country finca from a freshly ploughed field. The client needed a sturdy closure that suited the landscape: untreated olive wood, as always.
The client had no posts. We ordered the gate to measure, set treated pine posts for outdoor use ourselves and took care of the whole installation.
They wanted a terrace entrance with the same rustic feel as the restaurant. We ordered the gate to measure from the craftsman and fitted it on site, welding the ironwork in place.
